Terms of Service

BQZ is an app run by Abdulrahman Abdulla Almhuairi, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("BQZ", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using BQZ you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who can use BQZ

• You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live sets a higher age for using an app like this, you must meet that age, or have your parent or guardian's permission.
• You must not have been banned from BQZ before.
• Anyone aged 13 or older can create an account with an email address or phone number, a username and a date of birth.
• People aged 13 to 17 can use BQZ with extra protections (a private account and limits on who can message them). We ask for your date of birth when you sign up, and we do not open accounts for anyone under 13.

2. Your account

• Give accurate information and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• One person, one account. Do not sell, rent or transfer your account.
• Tell us at support@bqzapp.com if you think someone else has your account.
• Usernames are first come, first served. Some names are reserved, for example names of BQZ, public bodies and well-known organisations. We may change or take back a username that impersonates a person or organisation, or that someone with a legitimate claim asks for. We will tell you and let you pick a new one. Your account stays.
• Any feature that uses your device's location, such as adding a place to a post, works only with your permission. See the Privacy Policy for what we do with it.

3. Your content

• You own what you post: photos, videos, comments, messages and stickers you create.
• You give BQZ a licence to store, show and send your content inside the app, so the app can work. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that other people have already received in messages or that we must keep for the short period described in the Privacy Policy.
• You promise you have the right to post what you post, and that it follows these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
• Do not post other people's private photos, messages or personal details without their permission.

4. Rules

You must follow the Community Guidelines. In short: no harassment, hate, threats, nudity, graphic violence, scams, impersonation, or anything illegal. You must not try to break, scrape or overload the app, or get around our safety tools.

5. Reporting and moderation

• Zero tolerance: there is no place on BQZ for objectionable content or abusive users. We remove it and ban the accounts responsible.
• You can report any post, comment, message or account, and block or mute any account, from the three-dots menu. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.
• We use automatic tools and people to review content. We may hide, blur, limit or remove content, and may warn, restrict, ban or close accounts that break these Terms or the law.
• Content marked as sensitive may be blurred or hidden depending on your settings.
• If you think we made a mistake, write to support@bqzapp.com.

6. Messages and sharing

Messages are for the people in the conversation. Anyone who receives a message, photo or video can keep or share it, so send only what you are comfortable with.

7. Ending your account

• You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete account (you confirm with your password and by typing DELETE). Your account and data, including posted photos and videos, chat photos and voice notes, are deleted right away and this cannot be undone. Copies in our backups are cleared within 30 days. If you cannot sign in, email support@bqzapp.com from the email address or phone number of your account; after we check it is yours, we will delete it within 30 days.
• We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, put others at risk, or if the law requires it.

8. Services from other companies

BQZ relies on services from other companies, such as Supabase for our database, sign-in and file storage, Resend for sending emails, and MyMemory for message translation (only when you tap Translate). Their terms and privacy policies also apply to those parts of the service.

9. Our responsibility

• We provide BQZ "as is". We work to keep it safe and running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
• To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for content posted by users, or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these Terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is important we will tell you in the app before it starts. If you keep using BQZ after that, you accept the new Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes go to the courts of Dubai, UAE, unless the law in your country gives you the right to go to your local court.
